Sunday was a lazy day for me. But for one Olympian in particular it was their final greatest day. The crowning achievement in their career. Michael Phelps achieved his 22nd medal and 18th gold. Today’s piece is what I think his brain must be feeling. Scrambled and relaxed at the same time.
Watching these athletes is inspiring for me. It shows what can happen when you work harder and hone your focus. If I give half my energy towards the goals and benchmarks I have for myself, I can accomplish a lot. Just imagine if I give my all.
What would the world be like if everyone determined to go beyond mediocre? I know that every person has different gifts and talents. But what if each one made small (or big) adjustments to go past “OK” for where they’re at at this moment? What’s your personal best? I’m finding out about mine now. I’m going to turn it up a notch.
